This off-shoulder dress is crafted from a repurposed vintage Bandhani sari, celebrating one of India’s oldest textile traditions. Bandhani is a traditional resist-dyeing technique in which tiny sections of fabric are meticulously tied before dyeing, creating the distinctive dotted and geometric motifs that characterise the textile.

This sari transitions beautifully from soft sage green into deep forest green, with delicate Bandhani motifs scattered across the lower half and the original decorative border preserved along the sleeves. A contrasting lime green tie adds a fresh contemporary accent while honouring the character of the original textile.

The adjustable drawstring neckline allows the dress to be styled on or off the shoulder, while relaxed midi-length sleeves fall softly from the neckline. Designed in a free size, the silhouette is loose, fluid and effortless, allowing the textile and its traditional craftsmanship to remain the focus.
