A rich expression of colour and textile heritage, this off-shoulder dress is crafted from a repurposed silk blend sari in a deep plum tone. Delicate gold-toned motifs are scattered across the silk, leading into the sari’s intricately patterned border, where paisley and architectural-inspired motifs create a striking finish in tonal pink and plum.
The gathered neckline is finished with a matching silk tie, allowing the dress to be worn on or off the shoulder. Voluminous midi-length balloon sleeves are softly gathered at the cuff and finished with the sari’s original patterned border, bringing the textile’s detailing through the entire silhouette.
Designed in a free size, the dress falls loosely to full length, allowing the natural lustre and fluidity of the silk to take centre stage. The original sari border has been intentionally preserved and positioned around the hem, celebrating the textile rather than cutting away its story.
