A bold celebration of colour and textile heritage, this off-shoulder dress is crafted from a repurposed vintage silk-blend sari in vivid fuchsia, cobalt blue and touches of gold. Delicate trailing florals are layered with oversized paisley motifs, allowing the original sari artwork to become the focal point of the silhouette.
The gathered elasticated neckline can be styled on or off the shoulder, falling into a relaxed, full-length shape. Voluminous balloon sleeves are finished with elasticated cuffs, while a contrasting cobalt-blue tie adds a striking finish at the neckline.
The sari’s statement paisley border has been deliberately positioned across the lower front of the dress, creating an expressive contrast to the finer floral pattern across the body. As with every piece created from a reclaimed sari, the placement of the motifs is unique to the garment.
