This reversible Lulu Jacket pairs a richly detailed Banarasi textile with a contrasting reclaimed textile, creating two completely different expressions in one one-of-a-kind piece.
The Banarasi side is a striking patchwork of emerald green, ivory, silver and deep red, featuring intricate woven floral and ornamental motifs. Contrasting panels across the front and back showcase the richness of the original textile, while the vivid green sleeves are finished with delicate gold floral motifs and ornate borders at the cuffs.
Reverse the jacket to reveal a more understated deep emerald green reclaimed textile, with a subtle tonal woven texture and soft lustrous finish. An intricate ivory and green woven border along the neckline and front opening adds definition, while richly detailed gold, green and fuchsia borders at the cuffs provide an unexpected flash of colour.
Together, the two sides offer a beautiful contrast - one richly patterned and expressive, the other refined and tonal - while preserving and reimagining the character of the original textiles.
